Volta River Aviation helicopter makes emergency landing in Nkawkaw
A Volta River Aviation helicopter made an emergency landing on Monday morning at Nkawkaw, near the Nkawkaw Bypass in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The aircraft — a Jet A-1 with registration number 9G-AFW — was flying from Accra to Kumasi when the pilot was compelled to land due to poor visibility caused by severe weather conditions in the area.
Sources at the scene confirmed to Citi News that the pilot and all crew members escaped unharmed.
