President John Dramani Mahama is expected to present his State of the Nation Address to Parliament today, outlining his administration’s performance and policy priorities for the year ahead.
The address before the Parliament of Ghana will provide an update on the economy, governance reforms and social interventions as the government seeks to advance its development agenda. Key issues such as job creation, inflation and infrastructure are expected to feature prominently in the President’s speech.
Political analysts say the SONA offers the government an opportunity to communicate its vision and address public concerns, while opposition lawmakers are likely to scrutinise progress and policy direction. The address is traditionally seen as a major indicator of legislative and economic priorities for the coming year.
Ghanaians are expected to follow the speech live on radio, television and digital platforms as the President sets out his plans and assessments of the nation’s progress. The response from political stakeholders and the public will shape discussions in the days ahead.
