President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to reject the pursuit of wealth through dishonest means and instead embrace integrity as the country works to rebuild its values and strengthen national development.
In a message to Ghanaians living abroad to mark Ghana’s Independence Day on March 6, the President stressed that the nation’s progress depends not only on economic reforms but also on a renewed commitment to accountability, honesty and patriotism.
He noted that the country’s ongoing efforts to reset the economy and rebuild public trust must begin with a change in attitudes and national values, urging citizens at home and abroad to play their part in shaping a more responsible society.
President Mahama also acknowledged the important role of the Ghanaian diaspora in supporting the country through investments, remittances and advocacy, describing them as key partners in Ghana’s development journey.
He encouraged Ghanaians overseas to continue contributing to national progress while promoting integrity and positive values that would help secure a better future for the country.
