Ghana’s Black Stars jersey for the 2026 FIFA World Cup was officially unveiled in New York City, in a vibrant showcase that blended football, music and Ghanaian culture on a global stage.
The event, organised by Puma, took place in Brooklyn and drew a mix of football figures, creatives and fans, turning the launch into a celebration of Ghanaian identity. Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan was among the notable personalities present.
The highlight of the night was a live performance by Black Sherif, who delivered an energetic set that electrified the crowd. Fans sang along as the award-winning artist performed some of his biggest hits, adding a strong cultural and entertainment element to the unveiling.
The new jerseys feature bold designs inspired by Ghanaian heritage, incorporating elements of traditional Kente patterns and Adinkra symbols to reflect a blend of history and modern football identity.

Organisers say hosting the launch in New York underscores Ghana’s growing global influence, especially ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted across North America.
For many Ghanaian fans, both at home and abroad, the event marked more than just the unveiling of a kit. It was a celebration of national pride, creativity and Ghana’s presence on the world stage.
