The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers has commended the Electoral Commission for its swift movement in addressing some challenges that has come up so far with the ongoing elections.
In a press conference on December 7, CODEO revealed some observations they have made from various polling stations as the elections progress. CODEO listed a number of concerns including members of the NPP and NDC telling voters who to vote for , which is a clear election misconduct.
Voting was delayed at some polling centers due to last arrival of election materials, with some polling centers starting as late as 10:15am. CODEO also observed concerns raised by voters over faint ink, the EC has however said that their agents will be able to count such ballots. Some ballots were also damaged by rains.
CODEO however commended the ECs swift response to some of these challenges. The coalition urged Ghanaians to remain calm throughout the process.
Kwadwo Asante, Director of policy at the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers Ghana made known that the organisation has deployed their observers across the country and would swiftly report to the people of Ghana.
