For years, Roverman Productions, led by acclaimed playwright Uncle Ebo Whyte, has maintained a strong presence in Ghana’s theatre industry, consistently delivering productions that combine engaging storytelling, performance, and impressive stage design, while offering meaningful lessons to audiences.
The company has continued to earn praise for its reliability and excellence in live theatre, a reputation that has once again been recognised.

At the recently held TheatreMania Africa Awards in Nigeria, Roverman Productions won the Best Stage Design award for its play Husband Material 7 Yards, adding to its growing list of honours.
The production is one of Uncle Ebo Whyte’s standout works, blending humour with thoughtful reflections on marriage, family, and relationships. It follows Joe and Charity, a couple navigating the ups and downs of everyday life—love, conflict, financial strain, and parenting—until an unexpected crisis puts their relationship to the test.
Speaking to Joy News, Uncle Ebo Whyte said his ability to remain consistent over the years is driven by passion and purpose, noting that his work feels effortless because he genuinely enjoys it.
He also acknowledged the contributions of his team, highlighting their role in maintaining the high quality of his productions, and expressed gratitude to the creative and technical members who helped bring the stage design of Husband Material 7 Yards to life.
The playwright further thanked audiences for their continued support, noting that their engagement gives meaning to the productions.
Roverman Productions says the award strengthens its commitment to producing impactful stage works and sustaining the growth of live theatre in Ghana and beyond.
