Delta Air Lines is celebrating 20 years of continuous operations in Ghana (2006–2026), marking two decades of linking Ghana to the United States and other global destinations.
Since beginning its Ghana operations in 2006 as the first U.S. airline to provide nonstop flights between Accra and New York, Delta has served as a key connector for families, businesses, tourism, education, and cultural exchange.

Over the past 20 years, the airline has carried nearly 2 million passengers, helping to strengthen personal, commercial, and cultural ties between Ghana and the United States.
Delta says its service has gone beyond simply connecting locations, also creating opportunities, partnerships, and stronger community links.

The milestone highlights the airline’s ongoing commitment to Africa, where it operates in major cities including Accra, Lagos, Dakar, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Marrakech, further improving air connectivity between the continent and the rest of the world.
