The Attorney General has initiated legal action against JA Plant Pool Limited and the company’s Executive Chairman, Joseph Siaw Agyepong, over an alleged excess payment of about $2 million linked to the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).
The case forms part of ongoing government efforts aimed at recovering public funds connected to contracts currently under scrutiny.
According to details emerging from the suit, the state is seeking to retrieve what it describes as overpayments made in relation to the DRIP arrangement involving the company.
The matter has since been filed before the court, with the Attorney General pursuing recovery of the disputed amount from both the company and its Executive Chairman.
The District Road Improvement Programme was introduced to support road maintenance and infrastructure improvement works across metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies nationwide.
