24 aspirants file nominations for NPP Bono East regional executive elections

A total of 24 aspirants have submitted their nomination forms to contest various New Patriotic Party (NPP) regional executive positions in the Bono East Region.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Techiman, a member of the Bono East Regional Elections Committee, Kwabena Frimpong, said the contestants are seeking positions including regional chairman, first vice chairman, second vice chairman, and secretary.

The other positions being contested are assistant secretary, organiser, youth organiser, women organiser, Nasara coordinator, treasurer, and communications officer.

Mr Frimpong noted that nominations officially closed on Friday, July 17, 2026, and commended all aspirants for meeting the nomination requirements and adhering to the submission deadline.

He added that the schedule for vetting the candidates would be announced in due course and assured party members that the committee is committed to conducting a transparent, credible, free and fair electoral process.

Mr Frimpong also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to following the NPP constitution and its electoral guidelines throughout the regional executive elections.
