NCCE rallies Kassena-Nankana West women against corruption
Women in the Kassena-Nankana West District have been encouraged to take a more active role in promoting accountability and respect for the law following a civic education programme organised by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).
The outreach focused on the role citizens, particularly women, can play in supporting transparent governance and reporting corrupt practices.
Addressing participants, NCCE District Director Paul Kwame Ganvu said corruption continues to hinder development and weaken public institutions, urging community members to help promote integrity and responsible citizenship.
He also stressed the need for citizens to respect the country’s laws and democratic institutions, noting that the rule of law remains essential to good governance.
The programme allowed participants to discuss concerns affecting their communities and explore ways of encouraging greater accountability at the local level.
The engagement forms part of the NCCE’s ongoing efforts to promote civic awareness, democratic values and public participation in governance across the country.
