Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie electrified the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as thousands of fans gathered for Rapperholic 2026, a concert celebrating music, culture and outstanding performances.
Held in Kumasi for the second year in a row, the event drew music lovers from across the country to enjoy Sarkodie’s music and support one of Ghana’s biggest musical events. Reports suggested that more than 80,000 people attended the concert, which continued into the early hours of Sunday.
Several Ghanaian artistes, including Dope Nation, AlorG, Cojo Rae, LMB Gang, Mr Drew, Oseikrom Sikani, Lasmid, Arathejay and Sista Afia, also performed, giving the audience a diverse selection of musical acts and adding to the night’s excitement.
One of the evening’s most emotional moments came when Sarkodie paid tribute to the late highlife icon Daddy Lumba. He dedicated part of his performance to the legendary musician and performed some of his songs in recognition of his enduring influence on Ghanaian music.
Sarkodie’s grand entrance was another highlight, as he combined Ghanaian tradition with hip-hop elements. The performance featured a projection of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, accompanied by traditional music.
As the concert ended at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sarkodie knelt to express his gratitude to the people of Kumasi and his fans for their overwhelming support and attendance.
Beyond the musical performances, Rapperholic 2026 brought together fans from different generations, showcased Ghanaian cultural heritage and highlighted the continued growth of the country’s music industry.
