The President – Elect has formed a five-member team to receive and gather information from members of the public and other sources on suspected acts of corruption.
A statement from John Mahama said, the move is a “preparatory measure towards the rollout of H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s promise to recover proceeds of corruption and hold persons responsible for such corruption accountable when he assumes office”.
The Team which is chaired by MP for North Tongu, Okudzeto Ablakwa also has the following members; Mr Raymond Archer, Investigative Journalist. Mr. Daniel Domelovo-Former Auditor-General, COP(Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye and Mr. Martin Kpebu-Private Legal Practitioner.
The statement which was signed by Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Spokesperson for the Mahama Transition Team said, “Anti-corruption, with Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) as a major plank, formed a core part of H.E John Mahama’s policy platform in the 2024 campaign and he intends to hit the ground running on these commitments”.
