The President, Nana Akufo Addo has honoured the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with the highest State honour, Order of the Star of Ghana – Officer Award, at the 2024 National Honours event held in Accra today.
The award was in recognition of his exceptional service, dedication, and contributions to national development.
The award acknowledges his contribution to shaping the country economic path and contributing to economic growth.
His running mate in the just ended elections, Matthew Opoku Prempeh was also honoured with the Order of the Volta – Officer Awardee, for public service.
Other key members of the outgoing government including the Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu – Ekuful, Chief of Staff, Frema Opare and Roads and Highways Minister, Francis Assenso – Boakye were also honoured.
