State confers honours on selected individuals for distingushed service
The president has conferred national honours to selected individuals for their dedication and distinguished service to the nation.
The recipients of the national honours cuts across various sectors with the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia receiving the highest State Honour, Order of the Star of Ghana – Officer Award.
Other personalities who were honoured include the Chief of Staff, Frema Opare, the Minister of Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, Minister of Education, Yaw Adutwum and the Minister for Communication and Digitisation, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
The running mate of the NPP presidential ticket in the just-ended election was also honoured with the Order of the Volta Award – Officer for his public service. Prior to his nomination as the running mate he had served as the Minister of Education and Minister of Energy.
