VfB Stuttgart have secured the signing of Portuguese forward Tiago Tomás from Bundesliga rivals VfL Wolfsburg, in a deal worth up to €15 million.
The two clubs have reached a full agreement, with Stuttgart paying a base fee of €13 million, plus an additional €2 million in potential add-ons.
The 21-year-old is undergoing his medical examination today, and the move is expected to be officially confirmed shortly.
Tomás will sign a long-term contract keeping him at the Mercedes-Benz Arena until June 2029, marking a significant commitment from both club and player.
This transfer signals Stuttgart’s ambition as they look to build on their impressive recent form. Tomás, who previously spent time on loan at Stuttgart during the 2022–2023 season, is well known to the club and fans alike.
His return is expected to bolster the attacking options under head coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
Tomás originally joined Wolfsburg from Sporting CP in 2023 but found limited opportunities to make a major impact.
Now, he returns to familiar surroundings where he previously showed promise and fit well into Stuttgart’s dynamic style of play.
With the medical already underway and contract terms agreed, only the final formalities remain before the transfer becomes official.
