GoldBod Jewellery is stepping into a new phase of its growth, unveiling a digital platform and product lineup aimed at turning locally crafted gold pieces into serious investment options.
At an event in Accra, the subsidiary of the Ghana Gold Board introduced an online showroom designed to operate around the clock. The platform gives customers access to a range of handcrafted jewellery, live gold prices, and the ability to make purchases and arrange pickups at showrooms nationwide.
Managing Director Gertrude Emefa Donkor said the initiative is part of GoldBod’s broader mission to shift Ghana from a supplier of raw gold to a producer of high-value finished products. According to her, this approach strengthens value addition and helps the country retain more foreign exchange.
One of the standout offerings is the GoldBod Jewellery Tablet, a 24-karat investment piece available in 1g, 5g, 10g, and 1oz formats. Donkor described the tablets as an accessible way for individuals to build and preserve wealth.
She also highlighted the company’s focus on craftsmanship, noting that each jewellery item is created by Ghanaian artisans whose work reflects the country’s artistic heritage and technical skill.
GoldBod announced plans to broaden its footprint with flagship stores, international partnerships, and expanded operations, positioning the brand to compete on the global jewellery and investment-gold market.
