Nigeria continued their strong run, defeating Uganda 3–1 to top Group C and secure a place in the Round of 16. Tanzania made history by advancing to the last 16 for the first time, drawing 1–1 with Tunisia, who also progressed as Group C runners-up.
Senegal and the Democratic Republic of the Congo booked their spots in the knockout rounds with convincing wins in Group D, while South Africa confirmed their advancement after defeating Zimbabwe.
The Round of 16 will feature top sides including Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Senegal, DR Congo, South Africa, Tunisia, and Tanzania. Fans can look forward to four consecutive days of knockout action starting January 3, with the quarter-finals and semi-finals to follow ahead of the final on January 18, 2026.
