Nine players have reported to camp for the Black Stars in Wales as preparations intensify ahead of a pre-World Cup friendly scheduled for June 2 in Cardiff.
Among the early arrivals are Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Gideon Mensah, Jerome Opoku, Marvin Senaya and Alidu Seidu, who were spotted in a video shared on social media.
With most European leagues now finished, additional players are expected to join the squad in the coming days as preparations continue.
The Ghana Football Association has not yet officially released the squad list for both the friendly against Wales and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, although President Kurt Okraku has indicated that the list will be published on June 1.
Ghana go into the match looking to end a difficult run of form, having lost their last five games, including a 2-0 defeat to Mexico in their most recent outing.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz has stressed that selection for the expanded 48-team World Cup will be based strictly on merit, with only “deserving players” making the final squad.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, as they aim to reach the World Cup knockout stage for the first time since 2010.
