As part of celebrations marking its 20th anniversary in Ghana, Delta Air Lines paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty Nii Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, at the Ga Mantse Palace in Accra.
The visit served as an expression of gratitude for the long-standing relationships and partnerships that have supported Delta’s operations and growth in Ghana over the past two decades. It also reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to maintaining strong ties with local communities and key institutions.
Discussions centred on collaboration, community development, and the role of strong institutional partnerships in promoting sustainable growth and Delta’s long-term presence in the country.

Over the past 20 years, Delta has continued to build and sustain meaningful relationships through consistent engagement with stakeholders and communities that have contributed to its success in Ghana.
As part of the anniversary activities, Delta Air Lines also commissioned a borehole project for the Ga Mashie community in Jamestown, hosted at the Ga Paramount Stool House in the King Tackie Tawiah area.
The commissioning ceremony, attended by traditional leaders and community representatives, formed part of the airline’s efforts to mark its milestone through initiatives that deliver tangible community impact.
The borehole is expected to serve more than 2,000 residents, including women and children, by improving access to clean and safe drinking water, easing the burden of daily water collection, and enhancing overall health and hygiene conditions.

Beyond its aviation services, Delta continues to invest in community well-being across Ghana.
This latest project adds to the airline’s wider social investment efforts over the past two decades, which include support for health, education, youth empowerment, and women’s development initiatives in partnership with organisations such as Breast Care International and Junior Achievement Ghana.
