M.anifest has challenged a common narrative within Ghana’s entertainment industry, arguing that success in the creative sector depends more on professionalism and collaboration than calls for unity.
The rapper shared his views in a post on X, where he dismissed the idea that unity is the solution to the industry’s challenges.
According to him, what the sector truly needs is stronger cooperation among stakeholders, higher professional standards, ethical conduct and better business practices.
M.anifest suggested that appeals for unity are sometimes driven by personal interests rather than the collective growth of the industry. He maintained that practical collaboration and quality work would have a greater impact on the development of Ghana’s music scene.
His comments have triggered debate among music fans and industry players, many of whom have long advocated greater unity among artistes as a way of boosting Ghana’s presence on the international stage.
The discussion comes amid renewed conversations about relationships within the industry following the public reconciliation between musicians Shatta Wale and Sarkodie after years of tension.

The subject of industry relationships has also gained attention in recent weeks after comments and social media activity involving other leading artistes fuelled conversations about alliances, competition and collaboration.
While some have welcomed M.anifest’s emphasis on professionalism and structure, others insist that unity remains an important ingredient for the growth of Ghana’s creative industry.
