The Ministry of Health (MoH) has opened recruitment for the 36th batch of Medical Officers and Dentists who have successfully completed their mandatory housemanship and received clearance from the Medical and Dental Council.
In a public notice issued on July 2, 2026, and signed by the Director of General Administration for the Minister, Frank Raji, the Ministry announced that the recruitment exercise will commence on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Eligible applicants have been instructed to submit their applications through the Ministry’s online recruitment portal, where they will be required to select their preferred districts for posting.
According to the Ministry, available positions are within the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission health facilities and the Mental Health Authority.
The application window will close at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
The Ministry also cautioned applicants against fraudulent individuals seeking to exploit the recruitment process.
It emphasised that the recruitment exercise is entirely free and warned applicants not to pay anyone who claims to be able to influence postings or secure appointments.
In addition, the Ministry said medical and dental officers from the 34th and 35th batches who previously applied but have not yet assumed their positions are eligible to participate in the exercise.
However, those applicants will only be considered for postings within the regions they originally selected, subject to the availability of vacancies.
The Ministry urged all applicants to cooperate fully throughout the recruitment process.
