Stonebwoy, Fameye, DopeNation, Akwaboah to headline Ghana for Gold

Ghanaian music stars Stonebwoy, Fameye, DopeNation and Akwaboah will take centre stage in Edinburgh next month as part of a special concert aimed at celebrating Ghanaian culture and backing Team Ghana at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Dubbed Ghana for Gold, the event is scheduled for August 1 at the iconic Usher Hall in Scotland’s capital and is expected to draw Ghanaians from across the United Kingdom.

Organisers, ASA Plus, say the concert is more than a music show, describing it as an opportunity to unite the Ghanaian diaspora while rallying support for athletes representing the country at the Commonwealth Games.

Fans can expect a mix of dancehall, highlife and Afro-fusion performances, with Stonebwoy, Fameye, Akwaboah and DopeNation billed to deliver some of their most popular songs throughout the evening.

The event forms part of activities surrounding Ghana’s participation in the Games and is intended to promote national pride among Ghanaians living abroad.

Tickets have been made available through Eventbrite, with standard admission priced at £40 and VIP access at £60. Gates are expected to open at 6 p.m. as patrons gather for what organisers hope will be a celebration of music, culture and national unity.
