Daddy Lumba’s family marks first anniversary, reveals final resting place
The family of Highlife icon Daddy Lumba has revealed that the late musician was buried in a mausoleum at his private residence in East Legon, Accra, as they marked the first anniversary of his death.
The announcement was made by his sister, Faustina Fosuh, during a private memorial service held on Saturday to commemorate a year since his passing.
According to her, the family laid the legendary singer, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, to rest at his East Legon home, ending months of public speculation over his burial site.
Addressing fans, she said anyone wishing to pay their respects or visit his final resting place could do so at his residence in East Legon.
The memorial brought together family members and close associates to honour the life and enduring legacy of one of Ghana’s most celebrated Highlife musicians. It also offered the public its first view of Daddy Lumba’s burial site.
Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Accra at the age of 60.
