Britain’s Princess Eugenie gives birth to third child

Britain’s Princess Eugenie, a niece of King Charles, has announced the arrival of her third child with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie, the younger daughter of the King’s brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his former wife Sarah Ferguson, already has two sons — August, born in February 2021, and Ernest, born in June 2023.

In a post on Instagram, Eugenie shared the news, saying she and Brooksbank were thrilled to welcome their baby girl and were “beyond in love” with her.

The Royal Family also confirmed the birth in a separate post on X, saying King Charles and Queen Camilla, along with other members of the family, were delighted to hear the news.

Eugenie married Brooksbank, a marketing executive, at Windsor Castle in 2018.

The princess, who is 12th in line to the British throne, has largely remained out of the spotlight following the controversy surrounding her father and his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office after previously being stripped of his titles, residence and official role within the Royal Family. He has denied wrongdoing and said he regrets his friendship with Epstein.

Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, have since kept a relatively low profile at major royal events, although both appeared alongside senior members of the Royal Family at their cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding in June.
