Police in the Central Region have launched an investigation into the death of a 52-year-old spiritualist and farmer, Baba Ibrahim, popularly known as Alhaji Nagode, in Assin Amoabeng near Nyankumase Ahenkro.
The deceased was found dead at his residence on Monday morning, prompting shock among family members and residents of the community.
According to information gathered, Ibrahim was last seen at home with his children before the incident was discovered. A family member later raised an alarm, drawing residents to the house.
Known for his outspoken stance against illegal mining and other environmentally harmful activities, Ibrahim was regarded by many in the community as a strong advocate for environmental protection.
The father of seven was no longer living with his wife, and news of his death has left relatives and residents struggling to come to terms with the loss.
Police have since commenced investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
