The National Service Authority (NSA) has extended the registration deadline for National Service Personnel (NSPs) who are yet to complete the process for the 2026/2027 service year to Friday, October 23, 2026.
In a statement issued from its headquarters in Accra on Friday, October 16, the Authority said the new deadline replaces the previous date of October 15, which has already elapsed.
The extension is intended to give eligible personnel who have not completed their registration additional time to finalise the process.
The Authority’s management urged all affected personnel to take advantage of the extension and complete their registration before the revised deadline to avoid any inconvenience.
It also advised personnel to follow the prescribed registration procedures and ensure all required steps are completed to prevent their records from remaining pending.
The NSA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process for all eligible National Service Personnel.
With the extension, personnel who missed the initial deadline now have eight additional days to complete their registration for the 2026/2027 service year.
However, the statement, which was marked for immediate release and carried reference number NSA 4/51/10-26, did not specify the consequences for those who fail to meet the new deadline, apart from warning of possible inconvenience.
Personnel who have yet to register have therefore been encouraged to act promptly rather than wait until the final day, when last-minute challenges could affect their enrolment for the new service year.
