Award wining Ghanaian gospel musician Nana Osei, popularly known as Nacee has revealed why and how he composed the populary campaign song, Onaapo for the John Mahama and the National Democratic congress.
In an interview at Angel FM, he stated that he mainly composed the song to communicate the vision of John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress.

When he was asked about the meaning of certain phrases in the song, he explained that he used those phrases as a hook to grab the attention of Ghanaians, most especially children. He explained that children were often overlooked in political campaigns so he used catchy phrases to get children involved. He added that those phrases do not have any specific meanings.
Nacee mentioned that politicians in the country should let musicians be because the fans understand that they have been contracted and are just doing their work. He asked that politicians stop the propaganda in affiliating musicians with political parties after they had been contracted to compose songs.
