Free Christmas bus ride-John Dumelo

The Member of Parliament-elect for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, is offering free bus rides for University of Ghana students traveling to their hometowns for the Christmas holidays.

The bus service is scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 2024, with routes covering major cities such as Kumasi, Ejisu, Konongo, Ho, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Winneba, and Elmina. The designated departure point for the buses is the Volta Hall car park.

Dumelo described the gesture on social media as a token of gratitude for the students’ overwhelming support during the recent parliamentary elections.

“Dear Legon students, let me take you back home free for your Xmas holidays. You know I dey 4 u! Freeeeeeee Buses for all students!” Dumelo shared.

John Dumelo emerged victorious in the just-ended elections, defeating incumbent MP Lydia Alhassan with a majority of votes from all Legon polling stations.

This win fulfills his eight-year aspiration to become a Member of Parliament.
