A major swap deal has been finalized between Serie A giants Juventus and Portuguese powerhouse FC Porto, as João Mário and Alberto Costa switch clubs in a move first reported on Monday night.
Juventus have secured the signing of Portuguese midfielder João Mário, while FC Porto have landed talented young star Alberto Costa in return. The agreement, now official, sees both clubs complete a strategic exchange involving player valuations and financial compensation.
The deal structure, Alberto Costa is valued at valued at €15 million with an additional €1 million in performance-based add-ons.
João Mário is valued a t€12 million. As part of the swap FC Porto will pay Juventus €3 million upfront, along with €1 million in potential add-ons, to balance the valuation difference
