The Bank Hospital has firmly denied allegations that it leaked private medical information regarding the late Ghanaian music legend, Daddy Lumba.
In an official statement, the hospital addressed claims made by media personality Afia Schwarzenegger, stating:
“No breach of Mr. Fosu’s medical privacy or confidentiality occurred.”
The hospital confirmed that Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away at their facility on July 26, 2025, and emphasized that his care was conducted with professionalism, dignity, and strict confidentiality.
“His family was involved every step of the way,” the statement added, in an effort to reassure the public and honor the legacy of the beloved highlife icon.
To further ensure transparency and uphold medical standards, the hospital noted that a full internal review is underway, even as it reiterated its commitment to patient privacy.
The Bank Hospital also cautioned the public to rely only on verified information, urging media outlets and individuals to avoid spreading unfounded rumors surrounding the circumstances of Daddy Lumba’s death.
