The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned the public regarding a fake recruitment letter circulating on social media, falsely announcing the recruitment of 50,000 staff.
The Service described the said document as fake and confirmed that it did not originate from any official GES channel.
In a statement dated September 21, GES noted that said letter claims that financial clearance has been granted for the mass recruitment of both teaching and non-teaching staff, a claim the GES Management has strongly denied.
“The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has noted a letter circulating on social media claiming financial clearance for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff,” the official statement read, “Management wishes to state that the letter is FAKE and did not originate from GES. No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet.”
The Service further emphasized that all official communication regarding recruitment is made through its designated official outlets and those of the Ministry of Education, urging the public to rely only on these verified sources for accurate information.
“When the recruitment officially commences, it shall be communicated ONLY through the GES and Ministry of Education official outlets,” the statement assured, and advised the public disregard the said letter and to report any suspicious activities or individuals claiming to be associated with this fraudulent recruitment drive to the appropriate authorities.
