The High Court in Accra has granted a combined bail of GH¢150 million to former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company Limited (NAFCO), Hanan Abdul‑Wahab Aludiba, and his wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, who face multiple charges relating to alleged large-scale misappropriation of public funds intended for the national school-feeding component of the Free Senior High School programme.
Mr Aludiba has been admitted to bail at GH¢100 million with six sureties, four of whom must justify landed property. Mrs Wuni’s bail has been set at GH¢50 million with four sureties, three of whom must justify landed property. Both parties have been instructed to update the court of any change in their addresses and must report to investigators each Wednesday until the case is concluded.
They pleaded not guilty to 24 charges, including stealing, fraudulently causing financial loss to the state, money-laundering, intentional dissipation of public funds and abuse of public office. Among the accusations, prosecutors allege that Aludiba orchestrated transfers exceeding GH¢69.6 million to a company linked to a regional manager of NAFCO, yet only a fraction of the funds were reportedly used for their intended purpose. Investigations point to further transfers of tens of millions of cedis into companies associated with his wife and other related entities, allegedly used to purchase properties and securities.
The case has been adjourned to 27 November 2025 for further proceedings as the courts build the record and prepare for trial.
