The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company Limited (NAFCO), Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba, and his wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, have both pleaded not guilty to a revised 20-count charge sheet filed against them in an ongoing case at the High Court of Ghana.
Their pleas were entered after state prosecutors submitted an amended charge sheet, introducing updated counts for the court’s consideration as the trial continues.
During proceedings, the court formally read the revised charges and recorded the pleas of both the former NAFCO boss and his spouse.
Despite the amendments, both defendants denied all allegations and maintained their innocence.
Following their pleas, the High Court granted bail to the accused persons under separate conditions based on the nature of the case.
Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba was granted bail in the sum of GH¢50 million, reflecting the gravity of the charges before the court.
His wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, was also admitted to bail in the amount of GH¢3.5 million.
As part of the bail conditions, the court ordered each accused person to provide two justified sureties, who must demonstrate adequate financial standing or property ownership to guarantee compliance with court requirements.
In addition, the court imposed strict travel restrictions, placing both accused persons on a stop list at all entry and exit points in Ghana while the trial is ongoing.
