Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC has celebrated award-winning musician Black Sherif following his major success at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, where he emerged as both Artiste of the Year and Album of the Year winner.
The celebration took place during a special visit by the artiste to the company’s Achimota Brewery on May 25, bringing together executives of Guinness Ghana, representatives from Charterhouse Productions, members of the media and Black Sherif’s team.
The event formed part of Guinness Ghana’s partnership with the Telecel Ghana Music Awards and its continued support for Ghana’s creative industry.

As part of that partnership, the company had pledged GH₵100,000 toward the next project of the Album of the Year winner, alongside support for an exclusive album listening event.
Following his victory at this year’s awards ceremony, Black Sherif became the beneficiary of the initiative.
Guinness Ghana officially presented the support package during the brewery visit, with company executives describing the artiste as a symbol of originality, courage and modern Ghanaian creativity.
Managing Director of Guinness Ghana, Frédéric Feraille, said Black Sherif’s rise in the music industry reflects determination and authenticity.
“Black Sherif represents the power of believing in your own story and carrying it with courage. His music is deeply personal, yet it speaks to millions. At Guinness Ghana, we are proud to celebrate talent that is bold, original and rooted in Ghanaian identity,” he said.
The ceremony included remarks from both Guinness Ghana and Charterhouse Productions, focusing on the importance of investing in Ghanaian music and supporting platforms that elevate local talent.
A highlight of the programme was the formal presentation of the GH₵100,000 support by Frédéric Feraille and Guinness Ghana’s Marketing and Innovations Director, Sabina Manu.
According to the company, the support will contribute to Black Sherif’s next creative phase, including plans linked to a music video production and an album listening experience.
Black Sherif also received a customised gift package from the company, featuring a personalised Guinness bottle designed with his image and name, as well as an engraved Don Julio 1942 bottle.
Speaking during the event, the musician expressed gratitude to Guinness Ghana and Charterhouse for recognising and supporting his work.
Officials later took the artiste on a guided tour of the Achimota Brewery, where he observed the company’s brewing operations and interacted with staff behind some of Ghana’s most recognised beverage brands.

Sabina Manu said the company’s involvement goes beyond sponsorship and reflects a broader commitment to promoting Ghanaian culture and creativity.
“This is about celebrating a win and supporting what comes next. Black Sherif has inspired a generation with his voice, his story and his courage. We are proud to contribute to his next creative chapter and to continue supporting platforms that give Ghanaian talent the visibility it deserves,” she stated.
Black Sherif has grown into one of Ghana’s most influential music acts, earning international recognition for his fusion of highlife, hip-hop and Afrobeats delivered through emotionally driven storytelling.
His double victory at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards further cements his place among the country’s leading contemporary artistes.
Guinness Ghana says its continued partnership with the TGMA platform reflects efforts to support the creative economy while celebrating Ghanaian excellence and cultural influence.
