A large fire has broken out at a Melcom warehouse located within the Tema Free Zones Enclave, prompting a major emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
In a statement shared on Facebook, the GNFS said firefighters from the Tema and Greater Accra Regions had been deployed to the scene and were working to contain the blaze.
Approximately 10 fire engines have been mobilised to tackle the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjoining facilities within the industrial enclave.
The firefighting operation has also been supported by water tankers from nearby metropolitan and municipal assemblies to ensure a steady supply of water as crews battle the flames.

Dense smoke continues to billow from the warehouse while firefighters remain on site working to bring the situation under control.
No casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and investigations are expected to commence once the blaze has been extinguished.
The Ghana National Fire Service is expected to provide further updates as firefighting operations continue.
