Telecom giant MTN Ghana has pledged GHS2.5 million in relief support to families affected by recent floods in Accra, partnering with the Multimedia Group and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to deliver aid.
The package, to be distributed through NADMO, includes mattresses, blankets, food supplies, detergents, toiletries and logistics to strengthen emergency response operations. MTN said the intervention is designed to complement national efforts to provide timely assistance to devastated communities.
“At MTN Ghana, we recognise the immense hardship many families are facing during this difficult time. This support reflects our commitment to offering comfort as affected families begin the journey of rebuilding their lives,” the company said in a statement.
MTN also extended sympathies to victims and praised emergency responders and volunteers. “Our thoughts remain with everyone impacted by the floods, and we commend the emergency responders and volunteers working tirelessly to bring relief to those in need.”
The initiative forms part of MTN Ghana’s broader corporate social responsibility agenda, positioning the company as a key partner in national disaster recovery efforts.
