Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations Samuel Nartey George has been admitted to the Ghana Bar, marking another milestone in his academic and professional career.
The Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament was among 1,568 newly qualified lawyers called to the Bar at a ceremony organised by the General Legal Council in Accra on Friday, October 9, 2026.
His admission follows years of academic work and professional training undertaken alongside his duties as a legislator and government minister.
Mr George holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London, an MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics, and an MA in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Before the ceremony, Mr George took to social media to express gratitude to God, crediting divine grace and favour for guiding him throughout his journey.
His call to the Bar comes as he continues to head the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, which is responsible for shaping government policies on communications and digital technology.
The achievement adds a new professional qualification to his political and public service career, enabling him to pursue the legal profession alongside his existing responsibilities.
