Baba Sadiq
The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikwei Central, Baba Sadiq says the NDC is prepared for a revolution on the January 6 next year explaining that the NDC MPs who were initially declared winners of the seven disputed seats would be sworn as MPs.
Baba Sadiq was initially declared as the winner of the Okaikwei Central Parliamentary seat but after the controversial re-collation by the EC, the incumbent, Patrick Boamah of the NPP was declared the winner of the seat.
Addressing party faithful, Baba Sadiq said, “Jean Mensa cannot choose for Ghanaians who they want to be their MP.. Every seat that we won, would be sworn-in in Parliament”.
He said the party worked very hard “to be voted for” and would not relinquish the seats. He accused the Majority Leader, Afenyo Markin of complicity in the developments. We won the elections credibly; this is a strong warning to them; to Afenyo Markin, if this is what you wanted to achieve to be retained as Minority Leader, you failed. You will not be retained,” he declared.
“We are not cowards in this country; we were not born to be cowards. The blood that runs through our veins in NDC is the blood of revolution; that revolution starts on January 6. We are not afraid of the state of emergency; nobody can scare us with a certain state of emergency,” he affirmed.
