President-elect John Dramani Mahama, accompanied by his family, paid a courtesy call to the Yagbonwura, the paramount chief of the Gonja Traditional Area, at the Jakpa Palace in Damongo.
During the visit, President-elect Mahama expressed his gratitude for the support received during the recent elections and discussed regional development plans.
The Yagbonwura, in his response, welcomed the President-elect and his family, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration between traditional authorities and the incoming administration.
He assured the President-elect of the traditional council’s support in ensuring peace and development in the area.
This visit underscores the President-elect’s commitment to engaging with traditional leaders and communities as he prepares to assume office.
