The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has issued a strong rebuttal to what it describes as false narratives circulating on social media about the disposition and work ethic of the Sector Minister.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Ministry categorically dismissed claims suggesting that the Minister has been disrespectful and unprofessional, describing such assertions as “wholly unfounded” and “gravely misleading.”
“These assertions represent a blatant mischaracterization of an individual who has consistently demonstrated humility, dedication, and tireless service to the cultural advancement of our nation,” the Ministry said.
The Ministry emphasized that the Minister’s engagements with stakeholders, industry players, and the public have always been guided by openness, mutual respect, and a commitment to promoting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.
Officials expressed concern that the “regrettable attempt to tarnish this reputation” undermines not only the Minister but the entire Ministry and all who serve the creative sector.
Calling on the public to be vigilant, the Ministry urged citizens to distance themselves from content creators who “recklessly seek attention at the expense of public trust and unity.” According to the statement, falsehoods spread online may create temporary confusion, but “truth always prevails.”
“We encourage all well-meaning citizens to reject these misleading claims and continue supporting the Ministry’s mission to preserve, celebrate, and elevate the Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts of Ghana,” the statement added.
The Ministry’s Directors demanded an unqualified apology for what they described as “blatant lies” peddled against the Minister and staff.
While reaffirming their commitment to transparency and constructive dialogue, the Ministry stressed that it would not tolerate any attempts to divide and distract.
