The long-standing tension between Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale and record producer MOG Beatz has flared up once again, following fresh allegations of fraud and intellectual property theft.
Earlier this week, MOG Beatz accused Shatta Wale of using his beats to defraud an international company of millions of dollars an allegation that quickly sparked debate across social media.
Shatta Wale fired back in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), branding the producer “cowardly” and “ungrateful.”
“When I was paying for your mother’s eye treatment, covering your medical bills, and giving you money to buy studio equipment as payment for your productions, was that a scam? No problem! It’s people like you who make artistes stop helping upcoming producers. Come and face me man-to-man if you can say this to my face… ungrateful pig! Very foolish boy!” he wrote.
The On God hitmaker went further, sarcastically “thanking” MOG Beatz for fueling rumours about his wealth:
“He said millions of dollars… yes, millions upon millions. It’s good you’re telling people where I got my money from. I needed somebody to tell the world, and you’ve done it perfectly for me. MUSIC money, NOT SCAM money. Clap for MOG—Man of a Bitch!”
On August 18, 2025, MOG Beatz had taken to X to accuse the Shatta Movement boss of stealing his intellectual property, alleging that the artiste had falsely claimed ownership of more than 25 beats and sold them to a foreign company for huge sums.
“You scammed an international company using my intellectual property because you want to buy expensive cars to ‘flex’ on your colleagues? Old man, you’ll regret touching my work!” MOG wrote, warning that he was prepared to provide evidence if Shatta Wale attempted to sue for defamation.
The producer further revealed that he had already succeeded in taking down two of Shatta Wale’s projects Reign and Wondaboy from Apple Music over alleged copyright infringement, threatening to have more of the artiste’s works removed from streaming platforms.
This clash is the latest in a series of disputes between the two. Their feud first made headlines in 2021, when MOG Beatz accused Shatta Wale of failing to properly compensate him for his work on the Reign album. Shatta Wale, at the time, insisted he had paid GH₵100 per track an amount MOG flatly rejected.
With both sides standing their ground, the war of words shows no sign of slowing down, keeping fans and industry watchers glued to their timelines.
