The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has disclosed that the disbursement of two types of allowances for November 2025 will be delayed, a situation that largely impacts staff within the education sector.
According to a press release issued on November 25, 2025, the delay in salary payments was attributed to a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run. Consequently, the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) suspended the processing of the affected allowances in order to avoid further disruption to the November 2025 salaries of government workers.
The department has assured employees that the challenge is being addressed and emphasized that all outstanding allowances will be settled alongside the December 2025 salaries, scheduled for payment on December 18, 2025.
Speaking on behalf of the Controller and Accountant-General, the Head of Public Relations, Cephas N. Dosoo, expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and conveyed appreciation for the patience demonstrated by the affected workers.
Attached is the press statement.
