A team from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) is working to contain a fire that has erupted in a residential apartment at Accra New Town.
The blaze started on the first floor of a four-storey building, with heavy smoke billowing from the affected apartment.
Firefighters have faced challenges accessing the floor and have resorted to using a ladder to reach the apartment and strengthen their efforts to put out the fire.

The fire is suspected to have been caused by a power bank that overheated while charging.
A large crowd has gathered outside the building as firefighters work to control the situation and prevent the flames from spreading to other parts of the structure.
Firefighting operations are still underway, and no injuries have been reported so far.
