Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has expressed disappointment over the “change” hand gestures made by Kennedy Agyapong during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Delegates Conference.
Speaking in a recent interview, Ampaw argued that calls for change within the party were unnecessary, especially at a time when former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remains a strong contender for the 2028 elections.
According to Ampaw, Dr. Bawumia needs just 9% more votes to secure victory in the next general election. He further stated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has already exhausted its propaganda against Bawumia, making him the most formidable candidate for the NPP moving forward.
“Dr. Bawumia has already proven himself, and the NDC has nothing new to use against him. He represents the NPP’s best chance in 2028,” Ampaw added
