Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund has opened up about his development and future at the club, reminding fans and critics alike that he’s still just 22 years old and full of potential.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the Danish forward reflected on his journey so far, highlighting the progress he’s made since joining the Red Devils and expressing his desire to remain at Old Trafford.
“I am still very young — people sometimes forget that,” Højlund said. “I am only 22 years old. I have learned a lot, and I think that shows in my game.”
Højlund has been one of the standout performers during Manchester United’s pre-season campaign, showing increased maturity and confidence on the pitch. His positioning, link-up play, and finishing have all been praised by coaches and fans, sparking optimism ahead of the new Premier League season.
“I have done very well so far during the pre-season… I want to stay here,” he added, reaffirming his commitment to the club.
Højlund arrived at Manchester United in the summer of 2023 from Atalanta and, despite an up-and-down first season, showed flashes of the talent that made him one of Europe’s most exciting young strikers. As United look to mount a stronger challenge both domestically and in Europe, the continued development of Højlund will be key to their attacking ambitions.
With his focus set on improvement and consistency, fans will be hoping the Danish international can take another leap forward in the 2025/26 season.
