Wendy Shay held her much-anticipated Shay Concert 2025 over the weekend at West Hills Mall in Weija. The event drew thousands of fans who were treated to high-energy performances and a star-studded lineup.
Ahead of the concert, Shay visited the Kasoa Market, donating GHC 25,000 to 50 women traders and distributing mobile phones. She also paid a courtesy visit to the chief of Weija, observing local protocols before interacting with residents. During her visit to the palace, she politely declined a traditional offering of palm wine, a moment that drew attention online.
The concert featured performances from major Ghanaian acts including Shatta Wale, Medikal, KiDi, Kelvyn Boy, Amerado, Olivetheboy, Mr Drew, Eno Barony, Quamina MP, Kofi Mole, Lasmid, and more. One of the biggest highlights was Shatta Wale’s surprise appearance, which electrified the crowd, while Medikal brought his daughter Island on stage for a dance moment. Other standout acts included Fameye, Larusso, and Showboy, who playfully scolded his DJ over a mix-up mid-set.
As the headliner, Wendy Shay delivered her hit songs from the album “Ready,” keeping fans dancing throughout the night. Viral videos from the concert showed non-stop dancing, emotional shout-outs, and fans interacting with Shay. Minor security scuffles were quickly managed, allowing the show to continue smoothly.
This year’s edition of the Shay Concert stood out not only for its performances but also for Shay’s community engagement and her role in highlighting her influence in Ghana’s music scene.
