Esther Offei-Aboagye, Chairperson of the Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC) has advised the incoming president, John Mahama to focus on leaving a solid legacy to redeem his image in his coming as president.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile on Saturday with Samson Lardy, she pointed out that Mahama possesses all the qualities needed to lead the nation and should not fail to meet the expectations of the many Ghanaians who voted for him.
“I believe President Mahama, the incoming president, has a unique opportunity to leave a legacy because he has nothing to lose. He has the freedom to make a definitive difference in several areas. There are major lessons to be learned in managing expectations, as he is coming into office with enormous public expectations and a lot of goodwill,” she said.
She also called on Mahama to effectively coordinate and manage the communication efforts of the people he will appoint and entrust key positions within his administration.
Mr Mahama made a historic return to the presidency in the December 2024 elections, securing a margin of over one million votes against the NPP.
