The Electoral Commission has debunked statements by a radio presenter on Wontumi Radio that the 2024 presidential elections would be held on different days.
Oheneba Nana Asiedu is what police deemed as false information said only the person on the first position of the ballot paper would be voted for in December 7: the second on December 8 and the rest in the corresponding order of days.
He was picked up by the police but granted bail yesterday.
But in a statement, the EC said, the statements were false and urged the public to disregard it.
“The Electoral Commission urges the Public to disregard the misleading statement,” the EC said in statement, adding that the election would be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 7am to 5pm,” the statement added.
